Pakistani journalists denied visas to cover occupied Kashmir polls

ISLAMABAD- A number of Pakistani journalists who applied for visa two months ago to cover the ongoing “elections” in the occupied Jammu and Kashmir are still awaiting response from the Indian High Commission in Islamabad.

According to the information, the Indian High Commission has told these journalists that they are waiting for the “clearance” to come from New Delhi.

Journalists from Urdu dailies Nawai-e-Waqt and Jang and an English newspaper Frontier Post had applied for visas to cover the so-called elections in the Indian held valley as part of their professional assignment.

But, it appears they are being denied the entry on lame excuses to hide the fact that these sham elections have been overwhelmingly boycotted by the Kashmiri people, the information revealed.
