Pakistani journalist gets award
KARACHI – International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN) and Reuters Foundation’s Media award 2004 for South Asia went to Pakistani journalist, Masud Ansari for his investigative report on Tasman Spirit oil spill.
The IUCN and Reuters Foundation have announced the Regional winners for excellence in environmental reporting who would compete for the global prize of 500 dollars.
Constituency Manager, IUCN-Pakistan, Nasir Ali Panhwar told APP here on Wednesday that Patron-in-thief of IUCN, Queen Noor would present the awards and the global prize in Bangkok, Thailand on 18th November 2004 on the eve of 3rd IUCN World Conservation Conference there.
The regional award winners represented Latin America, North America, Oceania, Europe, Asia, Africa.
