Pakistan urged to respect human rights

The government should also investigate killings by soldiers during military operations in the tribal areas,” said Khan.
Referring to Pakistan’s role in the UN Human Rights Council, Khan hoped that Pakistan would play a constructive role in building consensus for strong and effective UN human rights machinery. She welcomed the implementation of the Women’s Protection Act in Pakistan and hoped the legislation would improve the possibility for prosecution of rape and sexual violence.
