Pakistan Television to start political discussion programme
ISLAMABAD- Pakistan Television has planned to launch, by the end of this month, a political programme, “Mukalma”, in which political leaders of all parties will be invited to express their views on future political setup.
This was stated by federal secretary for information and media development, Syed Anwar Mehmud, talking to newsmen at the conclusion of SAF Games Fun Race.
He said the programme will be telecast live twice a week.
Replying a question about reports of a deal with a political party, he said meetings between politicians and the president will continue in the future.
He said the president had directed the information ministry to arrange political dialogue on television so that a congenial atmosphere could be created for the general elections, which were one year away.
