Pakistan Telecommunication Company Limited (PTCL) introduces E-mail facility for phone faults

LAHORE- The Pakistan Telecommunication Company Ltd (PTCL) has in another first, provided the additional facility of e-mail to subscribers for rectification of telephone faults on top priority.

Unfolding details of the e-mail facility introduced in the north region here, PTCL General Manager Ch. Fazal Elahi said this is a big facility when it is not possible for subscribers, especially ladies, to personally visit the office of the DE concerned for the redress of telephone problems.

It provides prompt, customer-friendly service to the people to address their problems at their convenience.

He said for the convenience of the subscribers, the PTCL offers a host of services through its e-mail to lodge their complaints, get a new phone connection, shifting of telephone, restoration of disconnected phone, etc.

He clarified that the PTCL, in addition to the e-mail service, will continue to entertain telephone complaints through the computerised “18” for attending to phone related problems.

The e-mail is an additional facility which is another step forward in the improvement in the PTCL services, observed Ch Fazal Elahi, adding that special staff has been deployed in the computer section of his office for quickly response to e-mail messages and queries. He said the subscribers can contact him through the following e-mail [email protected].

He said all e-mail will be checked by him directly and he will issue appropriate orders for redress of all genuine complaints. He said senders will also be kept informed about the status of their e-mail and progress so far achieved. The e.mail matter will be conveyed to the DE concerned through hotline for immediate action.

To provide efficient service to subscribers through the one-window operation, the condition of feasibility report by the SDO for a new telephone connection has been withdrawn, he declared.

The general manager said all one needs to do now is deposit an application for a new telephone and get the demand note instantly through computer.
