Pakistan Telecommunication Company Limited Alcatel sign MoU
ISLAMABAD- The Pakistan Telecommunication Company limited (PTCL) signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with M/s Alcatel for quick availability of hardware and software solutions, specially for the primary rate access for promotion of information technology and internet in the country.
According to a press release issued by PTCL here, on Wednesday, Abu Shamim M. Arif, as chairman. PTCL and the chief executive of Alcatel signed the memorandum.
Alcatel, a major player in the international telecom and information technology market, will work in close coordination with PTCL to assess the demand of internet service providers, data operators, corporate customers to meet IT, internet and corporate network requirements, and engineer customized IT solutions.
It will also arrange implementation on the fast track by providing customer’s premises equipment cards and connectivity with PTCL network. The present MoU prices for the equipment are lower by approximately 20pc than the previous prices.
