Pakistan Broadcasting Corporation (PBC) to introduced voice-paging system
LAHORE- Pakistan Broadcasting Corporation (PBC) will be introducing a new information path by providing voice-paging facility to the people, which will replace the present digital paging.
To generate cash from the existing facilities available with Pakistan Broadcasting Corporation (PBC). it acquired license from Pakistan Telecommunications Corporation Limited for the voice pager facility. It asked for bids for. voice paging facility through its FM transmitter. The response according to the PBC officials has been encouraging and the corporation has so far received five bids from different parties.
The voice pager would have the first two limitations encountered in digital pagers but as the message would be delivered by a voice. the illiterate could ,also use it.
