Pakistan and Bangladesh Discuss Media Cooperation
Secretary of Information and Broadcasting Ambreen Jan met with Bangladesh’s High Commissioner to Pakistan, Iqbal Hussain Khan, on January 6 to discuss strategies for strengthening media cooperation.
Both officials underscored the importance of utilizing shared historical and cultural values to create a foundation for mutual understanding. Secretary Jan proposed joint initiatives between state media organizations, including Pakistan Television Corporation, Associated Press of Pakistan, and Radio Pakistan, with their Bangladeshi counterparts. These initiatives could include joint productions, news exchange programs, and collaborative training for journalists.
The high commissioner appreciated Pakistan’s efforts to expand bilateral ties and expressed optimism that collaboration would bring the two countries closer.
