One Journalist killed, four hurt in Charsadda suicide attack

PESHAWAR: A freelance photojournalist was among the 28 journalists killed in Saturday’s suicide attack on Interior Minister Aftab Sherpao in Charsadda, while another photojournalist, ATV cameraman, and two reporters were wounded.

Freelance photojournalist Mahboob Khan, 22, died at the scene. He was based in the district, located near Peshawar, and both local publications and correspondents working for the national media often used his photos. Charsadda based local journalist Faiz Mohammad informed

ATV cameraman Arif, Yousufzai, reporter Sidiqullah of Peshawar based Urdu Daily, Subah newspaper, reporter Ayaz Mohammad of APP, and photographer Arshad Ali of the PID are being treated for wounds-they are all stated to be in stable condition although Ali is still hospitalised for burn injuries.
