Sultana Begum, the mother of Dr Jabbar Khatak, Senior Vice President, Council of Newspaper Editors and Chief Editor Daily Awami Awaz, expired on Friday, May 30, 2008.
Qur’aan Khwani for the departed soul was held here on Sunday. It was attended, among others, by leaders of All Pakistan Newspapers Society, the Council of Newspaper Editors, political parties, social organisations, journalistsÂ’ associations, doctors, association of newspaper sellers and prominent personalities from different walks of life.Prayers were offered for the departed soul.
