HYDERABAD: Taluka Hyderabad Rural Nazim Khawind Bux Jahejo on Wednesday alleged that no development work was being carried out in his Taluka and the due share of the Hyderabad development package was not being provided to the rural Taluka of the district.

Instead of development, he alleged, the Awam Dost Taluka Nazim Abdullah Shoro was being pressurised through the police to join the Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM).

He was addressing a news conference at the Hyderabad Press Club along with MPA Amjad Shah Jillani, Taluka Naib Nazim Mir Ashraf Talpur, UC Nazims Abdullah Shoro, Khan Mohammed Chandio, Shafqat Shah, and Yameen Soomro.

The Hyderabad Rural Taluka Nazim said the mediapersons of Hyderabad should visit the Taluka to personally verify the situation that no development was being carried out in his area and the rural Taluka was being ignored so as to provide major chunk of funds to Latifabad and City Talukas.

He said the SHO of the Husri police station was raiding the house of UC Nazim Abdullah Shoro to force him to join the MQM and and despite lodging complaints with DPO Hyderabad there was no respite.

He said the UC Nazim Shafqat Shah was implicated in a “false” case and was sent behind the bars for the same reason as despite the rigging, the Awam Dost panel had won the elections in the rural Taluka.
