Nine acquitted in Hudood case

FAISALABAD: Additional District and Sessions Judge Khizar Hayat Sial on Wednesday acquitted nine accused in a Hudood case registered with the Ghulam Muhammadabad police station. The prosecution said the police arrested Muhammad Imran, Malan Bibi and seven others of Mohalla Usman Ghani in an objectionable condition on March 14, 2005. The court acquitted all the accused as the prosecution failed to prove the charge. Separately, Additional District and Sessions Judge Chaudhry Abdul Sattar on Wednesday awarded seven-year imprisonment to an accused in a Hudood case registered with the Factory Area police station. The prosecution said Munawwar abducted a 10-year-old girl and tried to rape her two years ago.
