Newly wed woman commits suicide
KARACHI: A 20-year-old woman allegedly committed suicide on Sunday, using her duppatta to hang herself from a ceiling fan.
The incident took place at her residence in Sector 1, Pakhtoonabad, within the jurisdiction of the Manghopir police station. Azra had recently married Qaiser, an employee of a local factory, who was present at the scene. The deceased’s body was taken to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital for legal formalities. According to the police, the motive behind the suicide remained unclear, as investigations can only be started after the funeral.
