New strategy devised to stop Zafar Qureshi

ISLAMABAD: After flouting the Supreme Court orders on Saturday in mega National Insurance Company Limited scam and forcibly stopping Zafar Qureshi from even entering the Lahore FIA office, a Lahore FIA director was summoned by influential figures and a new strategy to ensure that Qureshi couldnÂ’t start functioning as chief of the NICL scam probe was devised, sources revealed to The News.
The FIA director is subordinate to the Additional Director General, FIA Lahore, Zafar Qureshi, but the government is banking upon him to ensure that Qureshi is not let to work freely, the sources said.
On the other hand, FIA sources confirmed to The News that Zafar Qureshi has again summoned the meeting of his NICL investigation team on Monday at 12:30 pm. On Saturday, on orders of a federal government, the Lahore FIA management first ran the false drama of a bomb hoax at the building and later locked it even upon its in charge, Zafar Qureshi, so that he could not start investigation in the NICL missing dots.
The FIA sources also said that team of Zafar Qureshi is all set to arrest some very influential persons in the NICL scam which will turn the whole face of the case and the top guns in Islamabad knew this fact so is trying its best that Qureshi may not start work. It is also learnt that till August 16, 2011, Qureshi will not even be allowed to touch anything relating to record of the NICL scam and opening of fake accounts to receive NICL-money.
