Need stressed to promote media education
LAHORE: Punjab University Vice Chancellor Arshad Mahmood has said that world has been converted into global village and the nations are being controlled by media in this century, hence there is need to promote media education so that fast awareness could be developed in general masses.While addressing a prize distribution ceremony of the BS (Hons) students in Institute of Communication Studies New Campus, here on Thursday, Arshad aid that Lahore was a centre of media and there were better opportunities for media-men. He said the Institute of Communication Studies was providing quality media education, as all professional facilitation for scholars, were available. He emphasised the media to play its positive role to lead the society.
