NAWABSHAH: A huge blast rocked the city at 10:45 pm on Friday but no loss of life or property was reported.
The blast occurred near the main railway track close to a sugar mill. The track was not damaged and the train traffic continued normally. Two express trains, Karachi Express and Balochistan Express, which were ready to move, were detained at the Nawabshah railway station while the Shalimar Express, heading for Karachi, was detained at the Bucheri railway station.
District Police Officer Syed Ghiasuddin Shah and other railway officials inspected the track and declared it safe for traffic after 90 minutes, following which the trains were allowed to depart.
