Nawa-i-Waqt General Manager (GM) marketing Liaquat Mujahid dies

Lahore- General Manager (Marketing) Liaquat Ali Mujahid (50) died of a heart failure. He was laid to rest the same day at the G-Block Model Town graveyard. He is survived by his wife, two sons and a daughter.

The funeral was attended by a large number of relatives, friends admirers and staff of The Nation and Nawa-i-Waqt. Prominent among them were Editor, The Nation, Arif Nizami, Executive Editor, Ahmad Azeez Zia, Millat Party’s Qayyum Nizami, columnist Abbas Athar and Irshad Arif besides people from various advertising agencies and newspapers.

All Pakistan Newspapers Society (APNS) has expressed deep shock and a profound sense of grief over the sad demise of Liaquat Mujahid who had served Nawa-i-Waqt diligently and conscientiously. The deceased was an experienced person and an expert in the field of marketing.

The way he had dealt with the Pakistan Railways on the issue of outstanding dues was a highly laudable step, said the Executive committee of the APNS.

The APNS prayed that may Allah rest the departed soul in eternal peace and give courage and fortitude to the bereaved familv to bear this irreparable loss.

The staff of Nawa-i-Waqt and The Nation held a condolence meeting in which dua was offered for the departed soul. The meeting was also attended by Editor The Nation Arif Nizami.
