Names of women candidates for 29 reserved seats notified

Karachi: The provincial Election Commission on Wednesday announced the names of 127 women candidates of different political parties whose nomination papers have been approved after proper scrutiny for the 29 reserved seats of Sindh Assembly.

As per the Election Commission’s notification, the 27 women candidates from Pakistan People’s Party Parliamentarian are: Shagufta Jumani, Syeda Shehla Raza, Sharmila Farooqui, Erum Khalid, Nusrat Sultana, Kulsoom Chandio, Shehnaz Begum, Rehana Laghari, Shamim Mumtaz, Dr Sajeela Laghari, Rukhsana Parveen, Shaheena, Ghazala Siyal, Rubina Saadat Qaimkhani, Saira Shahliani, Farhat Seemeen, Khair-un-Nisa, Falak Naz, Tauqeer Fatima Bhutto, Shabana, Khalida Sikandar, Nasima Naz, Zahida Memon, Rehana,Mussarat Niazi, Yasmeen Butt and Qamar-un-Nisa.

The 26 candidates from Muttahida Qaumi Movement are: Sumeta Afzal, Bilqees Mukhtar, Heer Soho, Ayesha Khatoon, Rana Ansar, Naheed Begum, Shazia Jawaid, Erum Azeem Farooqi, Naila Munir, Shahnaz Saifuddin Bohra, Anwar Fatima Farha, Rifat Khan, Shermeen Fatima, Aliya Khan, Mussarat Jabeen, Naseem-un-Nisa, Tehseen Abidi, Sabeen Ghauri, Dr Laila Parveen, Khursheed Afsar, Farzana Rajput, Zareen Majeed, Shah Jahan Begum, Rehana Shadab, Rubina Javed and Farhina Ambreen

The six candidates of People’s Muslim League are: Kamla Bai, Kishoo Bai, Nasreen Riaz, Dr Musarrat, Syeda Batool Zehra and Nuzhat Pathan.

The 10 candidates from Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz are: Soorat, Mukhtiar Nazo, Syeda Nishat, Faryal Rubab, Shahnaz, Zeenat Shaikh, Benish, Meer Zadi Thebo, Anna Faisal and Shaheen Arain.

The 13 candidates of Muslim League-Functional are: Mehtab Akbar Rashidi, Nusrat Bano Sehar Abbasi, Samina Nasreen Mehmood, Farida Begum, Kiran Zubair Malik, Faiza Nadeem Mirza, Syeda Marvi Faseeh, Bibi Roshan Ara, Samina, Farah Naz, Rana Shah, Huma Shahzad Thaheem and Fehmida Jhakrani.

The five candidates from All Pakistan Muslim League are: Syeda Sarwat Zahra Saba, Najma Meenai, Feeroze Warsi, Tehseen Fatima and Zain.

The five candidates from Pakistan Muslim League (Sindh) are Neelofar Qureshi, Afshan Mansoor, Seeda Bano, Salma Khan and Fareeda Khan Leghari.

The candidates from National People’s Party are: Lubna Kaukab Lodhi, Misbah Irfan Lodhi, Sofia Syed alias Maqbool Nisa and Raheela Tiwana.

The five candidates from Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf are: Seema Zia, Ambreen Sehti, Nadia Humayun, Ghazala Nawaz and Rahela Farooq.

The 11 candidates of Jamaat-e-Islami are Nasreen Anjum, Nilofar Qureshi, Durdana Siddiqui, Rakhshanda Naz, Neelofar Aslam, Sabra Begum, Safia Khanum, Shahida Parveen, Kulsoom, Umme Utiya and Tayybad Khanum. The four candidates from Awami National Party are: Mumtaz Begum, Nayyar Sultana Awan, Shazia Batool and Arshi Gul.

The five candidates from Sindh United Party are: Bibi Shahnaz, Samreen, Sajida Andleeb, Sheeba Kehar and Mayan Chandio. The two candidates of Qaumi Awami Tehreek are Dr Sindho Mangrar and Husna Rahujo. The only candidate from Muttahida Deeni Muhaaz is Nazakat Bibi, while the two candidates from Pakistan People’s Party (Shaheed Bhutto) are: Amna Seema and Syeda Tanzeem Rizvi.
