PAKISTANI nationals living in other countries every year remit billions of dollars to their homeland.

In return the only thing they ask for is a bit of efficient response from their government to their legitimate requests: such as issuing of an ID card without making them wait for many frustrating months.

Nadra is supposed to have large computer and other staff but complaints about its inefficiency among expatriates are common.

Records are missed or mixed. Emails are not responded to.

The prime minister needs to pay attention to such issues if the government wants to keep the goodwill of Pakistanis in other countries.
