N MPA slapping bus hostess hurts CM
SARGODHA: Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) MPA Nighat Sheikh slapped a bus hostess for not serving water swiftly, a private TV channel reported on Sunday, after which Punjab CM Shahbaz Sharif took notice of the incident. The MPA, travelling by a private bus from Islamabad to Lahore, asked bus hostess Iqra Nawaz to bring her water. She complied, but the MPA got furious over some delay slapped her.
Passengers of the bus intervened and demanded a legal action against the MPA. On this, the driver took the bus to a local police station. However, instead of taking action against the MPA, a case was registered against the hostess, who was arrested by the police. Police say that the case was registered against the hostess at the order of DPO. Later, the police released the girl over lack of sufficient evidence.
Meanwhile the Punjab Chief Minister Mian Shahbaz Sharif took notice of the incident and ordered the police to submit a report on the incident.
