MQM offers support to rape victim’s family
Karachi: Provincial minister Syed Faisal Sabzwari and MPA Muzammil Qureshi have strongly condemned the abduction, rape and brutal murder of six-year-old Fatima in Gulshan-e-Iqbal, saying that the culprits involved in this heinous and shameless act are the enemies of humanity.
In a statement issued on Sunday, they said that the elements involved in subjecting minor girls to sexual assaults and killing them were an ugly blot on the face of society. On behalf of the MQM, they extended heartfelt sympathies to the grief-stricken family.
Both Sabzwari and Qureshi demanded of Governor Dr Ishrat-ul-Ebad Khan and Chief Minister Syed Qaim Ali Shah to take serious notice of the brutal killing of innocent Fatima and bring the culprits to justice.
They also stressed the need for legislation to award harsher punishment in order to curb the rising incidents of sexual assaults on minor girls.
