GUJRAT, Oct 20: A woman was gunned down on Sunday night allegedly by her brother-in-law over suspicion of having relations with a man whom the accused had already killed around 10 days ago at Jallalpur Saubtian village in Karianwala police precincts.

Reports said Tahira Bibi w/o Muhammad Aslam was shot dead by her brother-in-law Muhammad Akram as the accused suspected that the deceased had relations with Zahid Mahmood of the same village.

Tahira was a mother of five children.

Police said Aslam, his brother Muhammad Akram and some other men of the family had allegedly gunned down Zahid Mahmood on Oct 9 over the issue and a case had been registered against them.

However, the murder case of Tahira has been registered against single accused Akram on the report of Fazal Ali, the uncle of the deceased.
