Moneeza Hashmi elected CBA president
LAHORE: The Commonwealth Broadcasting Association (CBA) members unanimously elected Hum Network International Relations General Manager Moneeza Hashmi as the CBA president for the second time in a row.
The decision was taken in a conference in Brisbane, Australia, on Wednesday. Moneeza, daughter of renowned poet Faiz Ahmed Faiz, is the first Pakistani and the only female president of the CBA in its 60-year history.
President Asif Ali Zardari felicitated Moneeza on her election as the CBA president. In his message, Zardari said, “It is a matter of great satisfaction that the women of Pakistan are making progress in every field of life.”
