Mirza orders security for media expo
Karachi: Sindh Home Minister Dr Zulfiqar Mirza has directed the police to take strict security measures for ”Media Pakistan Exhibition”, being held at the Expo Centre from 30 January to February 1. The minister also issued directives for arranging parking lots around the Expo Centre so that traffic flow could be streamlined. “During the three-day exhibition, police patrolling and snap checking should be ensured in the city, especially in Gulshan-e-Iqbal Town,” he said. “The deployment of heavy police contingents should be ensured inside and around the Expo Centre,” the minister said and added that the police should liaise with the people and intelligence agencies for the protection of guests participating in the exhibition. He also issued directives to the traffic police to maintain traffic flow on roads around the exhibition venue.
