Minhaj wins press club polls in Lakki
LAKKI MARWAT: Hafiz Minhajud Din and Muhammad Zaman Nadim Khattak were elected as president and general secretary of district press club Lakki Marwat respectively.
In this connection a meeting was held in the district headquarters complex Tajazai wherein journalists from Lakki, Naurang, Tajori and Serai Gambila participated, said a press release on Sunday.
The participants reposed their confidence in Hafiz Minhajud Din and Muhammad Zaman Nadim Khattak and elected them as president and general secretary respectively. Other unanimously elected office bearers are Sahibzada Sibghatullah as senior vice president, Muhammad Jibran Sanan as vice president, Saifur Rehman as joint secretary and Anwar Zeb as information secretary. Irfanullah and Rustam Khan were elected as members of the executive council of the district press club. The newly elected president Hafiz Minhajud Din and general secretary Nadim Khattak said on the occasion that the district press club was the sole representative body of the journalists of the entire district. Pledging to make all out efforts for the wellbeing of local journalist community they demanded of the government to allocate funds for the construction of district press club building in the district headquarters complex Tajazai.
