Microsoft offers more discounts

ISLAMABAD-Microsoft Pakistan announced more, lucrative discounts to customers buying locally assembled PCs installed with original software.

“This offer is in addition to the recent customer discount of 35 percent on operating systems for existing PCs”, explained Aadil Ishfaq, Microsoft’s Regional Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) Manager. The customers of the locally assembled PCs buying original software can now get 20 percent discount on Windows 98 Second Edition.

“We want home PC users to also enjoy the benefits of original software by making it really within their means,” Aadil said and added: “This offer is in addition to the whole host of other benefits for the home users, who also receive free 123 hours of Internet access and free user training, when they purchase a locally assembled PC installed with original Windows 98.”

The software giant has also announced 11 percent discount on OEM windows NT 4.0 Workstation operating system and 25 percent discount on OEM Office 2000. “We want to make NT 4.0 and Office 2000 affordable for small businesses so they can also benefit from more stable and efficient computing environments for their businesses,” said Aadil.

This new offer has brought down the prices of Windows Operating system for new PCs, to one of the lowest in the world, he added. Microsoft is committed to the development of information technology (IT) market in Pakistan. “The company’s support will enable buyers of new locally assembled PCs, access to world class technology and reliability at affordable prices,” he said.
