Memon assures to provide protection to journalists
Karachi, Sindh Information Minister Sharjeel Inam Memon while condemning the killing of Chief Editor of a local newspaper, directed concerned authorities to arrest the murderers at the earliest.
He also slammed the attack on President Gambat Press Club Shafeeq Khuhro and his brother in a statement issued on Monday. Memon said present democratic setup believes in the freedom of press and stated that attacks on freedom of press would not be tolerated. He assured that government would provide protection to journalists at every level. “Law enforcement agencies have been instructed to provide protection to journalists” he added.
