Mediamen walk out of NA, Senate
ISLAMABAD: Journalists covering the proceedings of the National Assembly and Senate Thursday staged walkouts of both the houses to protest the murder of Ashiq Ali Mangi, a journalist of private television channel in Gambat, Sindh.
Minister of State for Information and Broadcasting Sumsam Ali Bukhari, leader of the House in the Senate Syed Nayyer Bokhari, ANP Senator Zahid Khan and Senator
Hafiz Ashfaq visited the press room and assured the journalists that the culprits behind this murder would be arrested.
In his statement, Sumsam Bukhari told the House that the journalist of a private television channel was killed after coverage of a feud between two groups and the accused had been nominated in an FIR already registered but the police was not cooperating for their arrest.
