Media Times Limited opens bureau office in SCCI

SIALKOT: Business Plus TV, an electronic media project of Media Times Limited (MTL), is the only TV channel that completely represents the business community and vows to raise its voice to resolve their problems.

This was stated by First Capital Group’s Group Director Finance Imran Hafeez, who was speaking on behalf of Media Times Limited (MTL) Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Shehryar Taseer at the opening ceremony of MTL bureau office in Sialkot Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SCCI). The event was presided over by SCCI President Dr Sarfraz Bashir.

The ceremony was attended by a large number of notables of the city, representatives of the business community, political personalities and journalists, including former president of Sialkot Bar Association Shahid Mir, former president of SCCI Tahir Majeed Kapoor, Amjad Ali Chaudhry, Chaudhry Muhammad Safdar, Dr Shams Javed, Nawazish Ali Qureshi, Haji Muhammad Arif, Haji Abdur Rasheed, Mian Buland Akhtar, Ayub Khan, Khalid Mehmud Farakh, Imran Sohail Sial, Amir Javed Butt, Azmat Naqvi, Fahad Saeed, Adnan Safdar, Kashif Naseer, Adnan Butt, Nasir Warraich, Shahbaz Ahmad, Malik Naveed Hussain Awan, Kashif Mehmud, Majeed Butt, Bashir Ahmad Butt, Shafqatullah Chaudhary, Ali Muhammad Chaudhry, Iftikharul Haq Khatana, Iftikhar Hussain Bhatti, Hafiz Zakaullah Asim, Mian Tariq Javed Anjam, Mian Muhammad Asif, Chaudhry Farooq Ahmad, Habibur Rehman, Mirza Imtiaz Ahmad.

Imran Hafeez assured the business community that he would raise their voice at every forum through the TV channel. He also announced to start new programmes for business community and give them due share in news bulletins. Group Editor Coordination Raja Riaz introduced Business Plus TV and other projects of Media Times Limited. He offered to arrange special talk shows for SCCI members on the chamber’s premises to highlight their issues.

Azad Kashmir Legislative Assembly member Chaudhry Ishaq requested the SCCI management to start “village package” for the development of rural areas, noting that their “city package” had played a vital role in the betterment of urban areas of Sialkot. SCCI vice presidents Mian Anwar and Khawar Jaspal asked the federal government to run a goods train from Sialkot to Karachi for the faster delivery of their export products to other countries.

Speaking on the occasion, Sialkot International Airport Chairman Ashfaq Chaudhry said the airport had the capacity of operating cargo flights and the government should facilitate them to start this venture from this city. In his presidential address, Dr Sarfraz Bashir welcomed the opening of Media Times Limited office in Sialkot and hoped the channel will help resolve the problems of the business community. He highlighted the projects initiated and completed by the SCCI. He said that the building of the airport with its own resources was an exemplary task.

The SCCI also presented its memento to Media Times CEO Shehryar Taseer, MTL Executive Director Ali Kazam Waheed, First Capital Group’s Group Director Finance Imran Hafeez and MTL Group Editor Coordination Raja Riaz.
