Media plays positive role against HR violations

LARKANA — Media has played positive role against human rights violation in Sindh and journalists should be appreciated to keep this mission continue, said District Coordination Officer (DCO) Abdul Razzak Qureshi while talking in a seminar on “Human Rights and Role of the Media” organized by the Pakistan Press Foundation in Karachi on December 12.

Dr. Jamshed Abro, Chairman, Public Safety Commission said, the commission has suspended the SHO Nasirabad who had indicted a 12-year-old boy in Kasashinkov case. He said police is main violator of human rights that promote lawbreakers in the society.

Meida Coordinator PPF, Javed Shah presented a report of human rights violation occurred in the district Larkana in which 40 women were killed by deadly tradition of karo kari in the district. Besides, 40 other women have been in Darul Aman and women jail, Larkana.

Dr. Sabiha Mughul, leader of Pakistan Khaksar Tahreek said, America is a great violator of the world that uses cluster bombs to kill hundreds of innocent people in the targeted countries.

Dr. Fakhrunnisa Jaffry and others also spoke on the occasion.
