Media playing positive role in province: CM
LAHORE – Two senior journalists of The Jang Group of Newspapers have been awarded the President’s Pride of Performance Award, according to a notificaÂtion issued here on August 13 by the Cabinet Secretariat of the Cabinet Division, Islamabad.
The two senior journalists are Mr Salim Bokhari, Editor, The News,Lahore, and Bader Bakht Butt, Chief News Editor Jang, Lahore. The award giving cereÂmony will be held at the AiwanÂe-Sadr on the 23rd of March 2005.
Mr Salim Bokhari holds vast experience of over 35 years in journalism and before taking over as the Editor of The News, Lahore, he has been the Editor of Daily Sun and the Pakistan Observer. Salim Bokhari was awarded the All Pakistan News-papers Society Best Reporting award in 1985.
Mr Bader Bakht Butt carries with him over 25 years of expeÂrience in journalism. Apart from his interest in Journalism Bader also has a likening towards arts and literature. At present, he is posted at Daily Jang, Lahore.
