MD of Dubai based Baloch Voice TV channel disappeared
KARACHI, April 26 2006: MD of Dubai based Balochi language TV Channel Baloch Voice is disappeared following his arrest by Anti Corruption on his arrival at Karachi International Airport from Bahrain on Tuesday April 4, 2006.
According to Dr. Ali Akber Mengal brother of Munir Mengal, Managing Director of Baloch Voice TV, his brother came Karachi on Tuesday April 04 and called from the Karachi International Airport that he has been arrested by the Anti Corruption and ceased his all documents. Same evening Anti Corruption officials told that Mr. Mengal has been taken by unkown intelligence agencies. Since that time todate there is no contact between Mr. Munir Mengal and his family.
Munir is basically a Charter Accountant and he worked in Taseer Hadi firm before Baloch Voice, said Ali Akbar Mengal. Munir’s wife has filed a writ on Saturday, April 22, 2006 in Sindh High Court against suspicious disappearance of her husband from Karachi International Airport by the assistance of HRCP lawyer Mr. Abdul Hafiz Lakho and got hearing date Tuesday, 02 May in the court of Justice Sabihuddin Ahmed.
