Maulana Sherani appointed CII chairman for three years
ISLAMABAD: The Ministry of Religious Affairs on Thursday issued a new notification of Maulana Muhammad Khan Sherani’s appointment as chairman of the Council of Islamic Ideology (CII) for a three-year term.
According to the notification, Maulana Sherani has been appointed as chairman of the council for a period of three years with effect from November 16.
Sherani had earlier refused to take charge of the post, expressing that the three-year term had not been mentioned in the earlier issued notification.
