Man kills wife over domestic dispute in Rohri
SUKKUR: A woman was shot dead by her husband, over some domestic dispute in Bedil Bekas Colony in Rohri late on Sunday night. Naeem Korai opened fire on his wife Zahida Perveen, 18, over some domestic dispute and fled, the police said. The body has been shifted to the relatives after the post-mortem. Mst Jamalan Umrani, mother of the deceased, has registered an FIR against her son in law Naeem Korai, Asad Korai and Abdul Rahim. Meanwhile, an elderly woman committed suicide by taking pesticide in village Dhandhi in Dubbar police station’s jurisdiction. Police claimed that Shabiran took pesticide due to some domestic problems. No case was registered.
Besides, a girl lost her life, when a buffalo hit her in village Bangul, near Rohri on Monday morning. Hurmat, 10, was playing in her house, when buffalo hit her. She was shifted to the Taluka hospital, Rohri, where she succumbed to her injuries. Meanwhile, a man was deprived of motorcycle by robbers in village Kotla Mirza in Daharki police station’s jurisdiction on Monday. Shahnawaz was going to Daharki from his village on a motorcycle, when three armed robbers intercepted him and at gunpoint took away the motorcycle. Separately, a labourer was killed, when he fell off an under construction building, in Old Sukkur on Monday evening. Reports said that, a labourer Shafiq Ahmed, 45, was working at the the second floor of the building, when he fell. He was rushed to the Sukkur civil hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries.
