LAHORE-With the Lux Style Awards only a month away, it’s all about the nominations these days. The news is out for the Entertainment categories, and Hum TV seems to be in the lead as it has picked up 16 out of a possible 30 nominee slots for excellence in Television.

O Rangreza, the on-going hit Television series starring Sajal Ali and Bilal Abbas is giving life to our everyday viewers – with a stellar cast, a gripping story by Saji Gul and good direction by Kashif Nisar, this drama is a piece of art not to be missed which is why it has managed to secure 5 nominations, maximum by any one play. The nominations for this particular drama include; Sajal Ali for Best TV Actress, Kashif Nisar for Best TV Director, Saji Gul for Best TV Writer, Sahir Ali Bagha for Best TV OST and the drama itself for Best TV Play.

Another hit Television series that made waves and became the talk of the town was Yakeen Ka Safar starring the uber cute on-screen couple Ahad Raza Mir and Sajal Ali, who have also been nominated for Best TV Actor and Actress. Other Hum TV dramas dominating the Television nominations are Sang-e- Mar Mar and Alif Allah Aur Insaan.

With the changing dynamics of the Pakistani entertainment industry, one thing that hasn’t changed is the number of outstanding and relatable drama series that Hum TV continues to produce. As of now, the biggest competition Hum TV faces is from Urdu 1’s Baaghi biographical series about the internet sensation, Qandeel Baloch’s life and death played by Saba Qamar. All of these dramas will be battling it out at the Lux Style Awards, scheduled to take place in Lahore at the end of February.
