Life attempt on journalist in Quetta
QUETTA- Some armed persons made a life attempt on the resident editor of an Urdu daily. However, he escaped injuries while his driver received two bullets.
Majeed Asghar was coming from his residence in official car to office at night. When he reached near Arbab House on Khud-e-Dad Road, some three-armed persons covering their faces opened firing on his car. He miraculously escaped injuries while his driver Nam-e-Haq received bullets in his shoulder and abdomen. However, the doctors stated his condition out of danger.
After the incident, Inspector General of Police Dr. Shoaib Suddal, Deputy Inspector-General Hamayun Jogezai and other police officials reached the spot and office of the newspaper to inquire about the details of incident.
