LHC for more arguments on pleas against censor board

LAHORE: Justice Muhammad Khalid Mahmood Khan on Monday asked the counsel of both parties for more arguments by December 12 on petitions against the Pakistan Film Censor Board for not stopping the exhibition of illegally imported movies.

On Monday, the LHC was informed that the Pakistan Film Censor Board had stopped exhibition of all illegally imported movies in the country following the court directions.

This was stated in a reply submitted to the court by the Chairman PFCB in response of the contempt petition against the board for not stopping the exhibition of the movies, and another petition against exhibition of illegally imported movies in the country.

In the reply, the PFCB submitted that as per the court directions, they had stopped exhibition of all illegally imported movies in the country and no such movie was being shown.
