Lawyer who levelled treason charges against Jang, Geo involved in four cases
KARACHI: There are four criminal cases against Aftab Virk Advocate, who approached Additional and Sessions Judge Lahore Ghulam Abbas Sail to file case against the administration of Jang and Geo.
Aftab Virk belongs to Noorpur Dakka, village of Sadhpura and all the four cases have been filed against him in this district.The first case of robbery was filed against Aftab Virk in which he, with his accomplices, committed robbery of Rs2.5 million from a house of Nasrullah.
The second case was also filed against him in the same police station on application of a person namely Mustafa in which Aftab Virk and his two friends leveled a fake charge of rape of a woman under Kizb Ordinance. While the case of theft and possessing of illegal arms was registered against him with Police Station Sadr Sheikhupura. SHO Rana Iqbal said that by profession Aftab Ahmad Virk advocate was a lawyer and case No 64/2000 was filed against him in 2000 on recovery of illegal arms and a challan was presented on finding him guilty. The case was pending trial in the court.
About Aftab Virk, former secretary of Sheikhupura Bar Tahir Shehzad disclosed that the behaviour of Aftab Virk was very bad and there were several FIRs registered against him and due to these reasons his entry in Sheikhupura Bar was banned. He said Aftab Virk was involved in the FIR of a robbery which was a bad patch for us while our bar produced renowned lawyers in its history and therefore, there was no room for Aftab Virk in this bar.Tahir Shehzad said that he as a secretary of Bar had imposed total ban on the entry of Aftab Virk in the Bar. He was also sent to jail once.
