Larkana council members to get equal funds
“Equal share will be given to each member of the district council in the next budget while planning the development schemes,” the Nazim announced in a council session held on Tuesday.He informed the council that reasonable share has been given to each Taluka in the 2006-07 budget. Giving details of new and old development schemes in the roads sector, Arijo said in the Larkana Taluka 54 old and 37 new schemes were being carried out, 44 old and 23 new schemes have been taken in hand in the Bakrani Taluka, work on 24 old and 19 new schemes is under way in the Dokri Taluka, While in the Ratodero Taluka 45 old and 18 new schemes are being implemented under the Annual Development Programme (ADP) 2006-07.Reiterating his government’s resolve to serve the people without any discrimination and provide them the basic amenities, he asked the elected public representatives help him in this regard.Earlier, members of the members discussed the proposed citizen community boards (CCBs) schemes and approved them. It was also decided that in the next council session, to be held in February, will discuss the law and order situation.Badaruddin Abbasi, senior member of panel of presiding officers, was in chair on Tuesday. Later, he adjourned the session to meet once again on Wednesday.
