LAHORE: The body of a 12-year-old boy was found from a furnace factory

LAHORE: The body of a 12-year-old boy was found from a furnace factory in Nishtar Colony on Sunday. The boy had been sodomized and then strangled.

The police said a vagabond took the boy to the factory, raped and killed him and threw his body in a furnace. Yaqoob of Awan Market in Usman Park told the police that his son was missing since December 12, 2007, and that he had failed to find him.

On Sunday, factory workers smelled something bad and found the boy in one of the furnaces. The police identified the boy as Ali Raza, son of Yaqoob, and took his body for autopsy.

A case was registered against Shawar Khan on Yaqoob’s complaint. Nishtar Colony supervisory police officer Chaudhry Abbas claims to have arrested the accused, who confessed to his crime.
