=> LAHORE (January 30 2008): The Women Business Incub
LAHORE (January 30 2008): The Women Business Incubation Centre, established by the Small and Medium Enterprise Development Authority (Smeda) in Lahore, has announced that it will hold a series of 19 training programmes for business women between January and June this year.The first two-day training programme took place on Tuesday at the centre’s premises on the textile business.
Dress designer Saima Ali Dada was the chief guest. Project Manager Maimona Sattar and Business Consultant Areefa Azam discussed various aspects of the textile business.
Ms Sattar informed audience about details of wholesale markets, raw material, labour, marketing and textile business management, especially bed linens and garments. She told participants about ways and means of taking up a business with small investment and also covered supplier-buyer relationship, guiding them about the availability of cheaper raw materials.
In the second session, Ms Azam, an able business consultant, gave a lecture on the techniques of developing a business plan. Later, Ms Dada shared her experiences and told women entrepreneurs to cope with problems with confidence. In the end, Ms Dada doled out certificates to the participants.
