Secondary school teachers’ posts: KPIC recommends inquiry into non-provision of merit lists
PESHAWAR: The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Information Commission (KPIC) has recommended inquiry against the Directorate of Elementary & Secondary Education Department (E&SE) over the non-availability of women Secondary School Teachers (SST) merit lists of all zones of KP issued on 12th July 1999.
This was decided in the Commission’s meeting chaired by Chief Information Commissioner of KPIC, Farah Hamid Khan, while deciding a complaint of Syeda Rozina Kausar.She had requested the E&SC Department for providing her the notification on details of women senior school teachers of all zones of KP issued on July 12, 1999.
The commission directed the Public Information Officer/ Assistant Director, E&SE Department, to make available the record on the E&SE Department website.It will approach the E & SE secretary to conduct an inquiry over non-availability of records with the department.
Similar inquiry will also be conducted against the deputy director, Fisheries, Directorate General of Fisheries, over non-provision of recruitment information to citizens.
While in other cases of citizens, namely, Faisal Khan, Syed Ali Abbas, and Muhammad Wasim against the Directorate General of Fisheries, Livestock & Dairy Development, and district sports officer of Tank, respectively, the commission ordered to disclose the information on their departmental websites as per the Section 5 of the KP RTI Act, and also to provide parawise reply to the citizen requested- information within seven working days.
In these cases, citizen Faisal Khan sought information from the Director-General, Fisheries the copies of the vacancies advertisement, number of zone-wise vacancies, merit calculation formula, final merit list (having test, academic, experience, and higher education marks), office orders, and name of the recruitment committee members.
