KMC, HMWF launch plantation drive in Saddar
KARACHI: To support nationwide plantation campaign and address growing issue of changing weather patterns, health professionals have also come up to play their part. A small scale campaign to plant 500 saplings has been launched in Saddar area here on Tuesday.
The drive started by the Hashmanis Medical Welfare Foundation (HMWF) with the support of Karachi Metropolitan Corporation (KMC). Foundation chairman renowned eye surgeon Dr Sharif Hashmani and District Municipal Corporation (DMC) East chairman Moeed Anwar planted saplings at the launching ceremony. Businessman Yahya Polani, Hashmanis Group of Hospitals CEO Arsalan Hashmani, Majeed Abdani and others were also present on this occasion.
Talking to the media, HMWF chairman Dr Sharif Hashmani told that 500 saplings will be planted during this campaign in Saddar and Lines Area. Pollution and temperature is rising in city as we are also not getting rains since long.
