Khyber Pakhtunkhwa to charge social media users for shooting at historical sites

Peshawar   – Khyber Pakhtunkhwa authorities have imposed fees on tik-tokers and other social media users for making videos at historical sites in the province. Archaeology Director Abdul Samad said that the decision was taken for protection of all historical sites in the province.

The official said that only professional journalists would be allowed to shoot on such sites without any fee.

Earlier, Punjab government has also taken such a decision to ban tik-tokers from making videos in parks in the wake of an incident in which a woman was assaulted by men in Lahore. The woman was making video for social media when she was assaulted a few days ago.
