Khosa signs summary for removal of seven PPP ministers
LAHORE: Punjab Governor Sardar Latif Khosa, on Monday, signed a summary sent by the provincial government for the removal of seven Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) ministers from the Punjab cabinet.
A Governor’s House spokesperson said, “Seven PPP ministers would cease to hold the office after the summary was officially signed by the Punjab governor after his return from Karachi where he called on President Asif Ali Zardari.”
Punjab Chief Minister, Shahbaz Sharif, had decided to expel PPP ministers from the cabinet after PML-N Chief Nawaz Sharif announced to part ways with the PPP on the pretext of the PPP government’s failure to implement PML-N’s 10 point national agenda at the federal level. The Governor’s House had received the summary on Saturday but it could not be signed due to it being a holiday on Sunday.
