Khadim elected Kasur Press Club President

KASUR- Khadim Ali Khokhar and Javaid Malik respectively have been elected as President Press Club and President Union of Journalists Kasur for the year 2003-2004.

According to the informal results announced by Chairman, Election Committee, Muhammad Rafique Nisar, Members, Al-Haj Dr Fazal Rahim and Shoukat Naqashbandi, besides the above, the other candidates elected un-opposed included Sh Muhammad Hussain as Senior Vice President, Mansab Ali Bhatti, Vice-President, Afzal Nasir Bhatti, General Secretary, Fazal Hussain Bhuta, Joint Secretary, Haji Tariq Mahmood Sial, Finance Secretary, M. Arshad Secretary Information and Iqbal Asif as Office Secretary of the Press Club Kasur while Muhammad Yousuf Arain, as Senior Vice President, Jamil Hussain Chopra, Vice President, Takreen Ali General Secretary, Dr Akram, Joint Secretary, Malik Shoukat Ali, Finance Secretary, Kousar Khan, Secretary Information, and Rehmat Ali Tahir as Office Secretary of Union of Journalists Kasur.

According to the joint statement issued by the Election Committee constituted for administering elections of Press Club and Union of Journalists Kasur for the year 2003-2004, none filed candidatures with the Election Committee, for contesting against any office of Press Club or Union of Journalists, Kasur.

The Election Committee, as per election schedule, received nomination papers from the contestants, the other day.

District Nazim Rana Imtiaz Ahmad Khan, Tehsil Nazim Malik Rasheed Ahmad Khan, Member National Assembly (MNA), Ch Manzoor Ahmad, Member Provincial Assembly (MPA), Syed Muzaffar Hassan Kazmi, District Naib Nazim Mian Sana Khaliq Kareemi, MPA Ahmad Saeed Khan and the representative of Foreign Minister Mian Khurshdi Mahmood Kasuri have congratulated the newly elected KPC and KUJ office-bearers.
