KARACHI: TV artist Ali Saleem, popularly known as Begum Nawazish Ali thanks to his talk show on a local TV channel, has said that he has been offered roles in Bollywood movies by director Pooja Bhatt and director Vishal Bhardwaj (of Omkara fame).
I am interested in working in Pooja Bhatt’s movie, as she has offered me an important role but I will only consider them once I am done with the remaining episodes of my 26-episode show for Indian TV channel 9X,” he said.
The show is based on interviewing people from various fields. He said that so far, he has interviewed Bollywood directory David Dhawan, actor Sajid Khan, model Mandira Bidi, Konika Mitra and anchor Shekhar Suman while an interview with actor Salman Khan is in the pipeline. He will be, returning to India on January 12 to complete the remaining episodes of his show.
“I am amazed at how popular I am in India despite the fact that the channel that broadcasts my show isn’t on-air there. Indians really have a flair for talent,” he said.
Talking about his engagements in Pakistan, he said that he has been offered a role in a movie that is being made by the channel that broadcasts his show Late Night Show with Begum Nawazish Ali and will be directed by Syed Noor.
