KARACHI (January 08 2008): Business Recorder staffer Rais Ahmad Khan’s sister, Mrs Shamim Majid, died on Monday morning. She was above 80, and is survived by two daughters and two sons. Three of her children are settled in the US while one daughter lives in Karachi.
Mrs Shamim Majid was suffering from Alzheimer’s for the past some years. A week back, she was rushed to a hospital after she suffered a massive heart attack. She remained in critical condition throughout her stay in the hospital.
She was laid to rest in the afternoon in Shahbaz graveyard in North Karachi. Her soyem will be held on Wednesday between Asr and Maghrib at Faisal Mosque, Block 6, Gulshan-e-Iqbal, Karachi. Arrangements for ladies have been made at her residence, B-379, Block 6, Gulshan-e-Iqbal.
