‘K-P working on access to information bill’

PESHAWAR: Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa Minister for Law and Parliamentary Affairs Barrister Arshad Abdullah has said that the provincial government is working on the Access to information Bill to enable the media and the general public to obtain details of any matter of public interest.

Speaking at the Peshawar Press Club (PPC) on Thursday, he said that one of the good feature of the 18th Constitutional Amendment is the right of access to information and the devolution of the subject to the provincial governments. He said that the federal government has already made legislation while the department of law in Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa is working with the department of information to make the government more accountable.
