Journalists to hold demo against curb on Geo TV
Islamabad: To express solidarity with Geo TV and to condemn the ban its two popular talk shows, ‘Capital Talk’ and ‘Meray Mutabik’, the journalists of Islamabad and Rawalpindi have decided to hold a protest demonstration in front of Parliament House here on Thursday at 2p.m.
Parliamentarians from PML-N, ANP and PML-Q are also expected to join the journalists’ protest. Pakistan Federal Union of Journalists (PFUJ) along with Rawalpindi-Islamabad Union of Journalists (RIUJ) has decided to hold a protest march in front of Parliament House, and the journalists would also march towards the diplomatic enclave to record their protest before the UAE Embassy.
